04Spoken practice

Facilitation & Spoken Explanation

Running a meeting that reaches a decision, and explaining complex work out loud so it lands.

Contextual photography. Not Verrow cohorts, participants or staff.

01 · Audience

Who it is for

Adults who chair meetings, brief senior stakeholders, teach colleagues or present technical work, and want practised method rather than personality.

Verrow admits adults in work only. If the programme is not right for your situation, the admissions conversation exists to establish that before you commit anything.

Entry

Willingness to speak and be recorded within the cohort. No prior training in speaking required.

Format

Live online cohort. Small by necessity, because every participant presents weekly.

02 · Curriculum

What you learn

5 strands · Six weekly sessions

  1. Strand 01

Designing a session around the decision it must produce

  2. Strand 02

Opening, framing and closing: the three moments that carry a meeting

  3. Strand 03

Explaining technical material to a mixed-expertise room

  4. Strand 04

Handling disagreement, dominance and silence in the room

  5. Strand 05

    Rehearsal, recording and structured self-review

03 · How learning works

The shape of each week

Repeating structure

  • Live seminars

Weekly two-hour session; every participant speaks each week.

  • Practice rounds

Short live exercises with immediate cohort response.

  • Studio work

Prepare and rehearse one real briefing between sessions.

  • Written critique

Individual written notes following each practice round.

Sessions are live and participatory. Verrow does not operate a learning platform, a recorded lecture library or progress tracking, and no part of this programme is self-paced.

04 · Admission and outcome

What it costs, and what you receive

Fees and dates

Both are set per cohort and issued in writing when you enquire, together with payment terms. We publish no indicative figures and no provisional calendar.

How work is answered

Practice-based, with written critique. Certificate of completion records participation only.

Next step

Write to the admissions office naming this programme. You receive the schedule, the fee and an invitation to a short conversation.

Asked before enrolling

All questions
Is Verrow Institute accredited?
No. Verrow is an independent training institute. We are not accredited by, licensed by or affiliated with any government body, examination board or professional regulator, and we do not award degrees. Our certificates record completion of a Verrow programme and nothing beyond that.
What do the programmes cost?
Fees are set per cohort and issued in writing with the cohort schedule when you enquire. We do not publish indicative or "from" figures, because a range set months ahead of a cohort is not a real price.
When does the next cohort begin?
Cohort dates are confirmed as each cohort is scheduled and sent in reply to your enquiry. We do not publish a calendar of dates we cannot yet guarantee.
Are the sessions recorded, or can I catch up later?
The programmes are live and participatory; they are not self-paced courses and we do not operate a learning platform or library of recorded lectures. If you cannot attend most sessions live, the format will not work for you.
